Pipefish

Does anyone know how to sex a draganface pipefish. I was thinking of getting another one and the ones in the lfs were all trying to lay on each other as if holding down showing dominance like I imagine males would.

Hope this helps

Jaw fused critters they are. Adults are always located in pairs, though these pairs are not necessarily maintained monogamous.
Males have a pouch-females typically are larger, and more colorful
females compete with each other by developing higher degrees of contrast in coloration, often called ornamentation.

Here's a pic of my fav pair that became a RBTA victims.
