It really depends, they are young, but pretty near the age to start mating, The last ones I got one pair stated to mate withing a few weeks, he is the one that only had the 4 babies, the other pair had not so far, they are small next to my older ones I have had for the past few years. We have never gotten any that didn't eat frozen, and that had any problems,

do you ever put them into a bowl while in the tank to feed them, to make sure they eat?

No, mine always eat, they hunt the food, I only feed once a day after they been in the tank for awhile, alittle more often when I first get them.

I have reidis from ORA. They've been eating frozen with no problems. I had them four days, and one of my males was pregnant. He delivered his first brood in 12 days and was immediately knocked up again. The second time around, both males delivered on the same day. I think the one is pregnant again. I've had them a little over a month and I don't see any problems, other than the money I'll be investing in baby tanks.
