Good luck Vince. I hope you catch them all. Your usint the same practice I do. In the past I have moved the daddy for the last couple days, but it seems to really stress them.
I miscalculated this week and was only able to catch 58 of the new fry. I still have 2 more males preggo as we speak.
Guess I need to have all seperate nursuries now for all the unrelated fry.
I may live in the south but we don't wanbt any inbreeding here. LOL

I did miss the timing, The lights all on and no babies, Well tomorrow morning will be better for me or even monday. I have everything ready to go. I have fresh Saltwater mix ready to add to the tank when I pull the ten gallons out to put in the rearing tank. If all goes well I will be able to filter the fry water during the process.

Don't think they won't have them midday. I have seen births at 10am and at 3pm. This last one was around 6am. My actinics come on at 8:30. This was all from the same male. He had 3 batches around 8:30 am so I got cocky. Now I can't tell when they're coming.

Lets hope you catch them all.
The last time I stopped the pumps and added air lines it worked great. The one thing I did forget, was to add a heater. With the pumps stopped and the heater in the sump the tank dropped down to 70F. I don't really think it hurt anything, but I nearly had a heart attack when I realized my oversight.
