Highest temp seahorses?

What species of seahorse prefer the highest temperatures? I have read that the tropical species prefer 74 to 78 degrees F. I was wondering if their is a species in particular that does better at higher temps in the 78 to 80 range. Has anyone kept their SHs at these temps and how have they fared?

That is too high even for the "tropical" seahorses. Erectus, Reidi etc do far better at between 71 and 74.

See this beginngers care guide for more information

Seahorses are more prone to bacterial infections at higher temperatures. Or rather, seahorses are just plain prone to bacterial infections, and lower temperatures help suppress/slow bacteria. People have kept seahorses at higher temps, but it is risky. I've heard from some reliable sources that high water flow and pristine water help out a lot if keeping at higher temperatures which is why many breeding facilities can get away with higher temps than hobbiests BUT it only takes one slip up in maintenance to lose your seahorses, which is why its just better to keep them at a lower temp.
