What type of brain. They can have sweepers which can cause injury to a seahorse.
Generally stick with softies. SPS is O.K. for the horses but the conditions to keep the SPS is not the best for the horses. Some LPS like Pagoda is O.K. but generally stay away from anything with a sting.

I think anytime You have seahorses and LPS's in the same tank you need to be aware of things that may happen, I have done it years ago with success. Had them for a long time and never had a problem, I just don't like to house them togather anymore. just me,

I had torches, elegants, brains and so on. I may have just been lucky, The tank was not overpowered with flow like they are now.

i had brains and Candycanes, I avoided frogs and torchs... if the flow is not high and they have other places to hitch (like SPS) then they can do fine... I have kept mine in my SPS tank.

How did you work around the flow needed for SPS.
Mass props on making it work.

Sorry about the general link yall. Just wanted to help. As for flow to the SPS issue. If your tank is tall enough and you are keeping the SPS up top you can create strong flow up top and the lower areas should calm down enough for ponies. Or you can arange the system so all the high flow critters are on one end leaving the other end low flow. H. barbouri, H. ingens, H. reidi, H. comes & H. kuda are tropical/reef dwelling ponies. They have the spidey sense enough to keep away from nasty corals. Avoid strong random current in the area of these inverts to avoid inadvertantly blowing a wandering horse into a bad new coral.

big flow was never an issue... the horses actually loved to play in it. you just need to make a few spots with low flow for them with a good safe hitching post. I also made sure the flow wouldn't blow them into anything that could sting (LPS). never had a sting issue with SPS.
I agree with Tabwyo on the spidey sense thing. (no problem on the link man, thanks for understanding )
