I wish I was 15. What it would be like to have an allowance and all that free time for my tanks.

H. zosterae(Dwarfs) are known for the relatively large fry, up tp 9mm, and they are commonly fed bbs throughout there entire life. Preferably decapsulated and enriched but not totally necessary. They sould live 2 years for you. Many CB will eat some Cyclops as well if the flow in your tank is right.
And as for keeping seahorses in a 24 g, you can keep 5 or 6 if you get the right species. I've had a couple species readily and sucessfully breed in 6 gallon and 15 g tanks without problems. Again, this is with the right species and I'm not referring to zosterae. H. fuscus, H. whitei, and capensis are just a few examples. A taller tank is better but not really the key. It is believed that GBD is more likely to occur but honestly last I knew, know one has determined what the exact cause is. The males are certainly more likely to ingest air into their pouch but in a healthy environmet he should be able to expel it himself.
I'm new on this site but I have worked at a relatively large public aquarium for the past five years. I worked with 9 species of seahorse and both the dragons, worked with Project Seahorse in the Philippines, and wrote the chapter on H. fuscus for the 06 Syngnathid Husbandry Manual. Not sure if the hobbyist use it or know of it but there is a lot of good info in there. I do not know nearly everything there is to know about seahorses but have some pretty good experience so far. I have been away from the hobby end of it all for awhile now so I am interested to see what discrepencies, if any, exist.

i voted H.kuda, since they are easy, and I have had succes feeding them.
What ever you do get, make sure they are captive bred.
