worms


Ive noticed these brownish pink worms that come out of my rock at night they are alittle bigger than a toothpick and also some little hair sized tubes on the sand next to the glass. Anyone thoughts. sry wont let me post pic

little pinkones sound like bristleworms. 99% are harmless detritovores. If its a predatory one you won't know until it gets big enough to look at the head. Little tube ones are likely harmless filter feeders that flourish early in a tank but get less prevelant later. Of course no guarantees on IDs without a pic

I agree with the post above,.. Bristle worms can hurt if you touch them though, so hands off. You get little prickers in you like a cactus with small needles.

The hair size tubes in the sand may be tunles left by worms exploring the sandbed too - these are good guys and eat detritus in the sand
