Worm id???

I have this white/clearish looking thing hanging out of my live rock. I believe its a worm its pretty skinny and appears to have 2 big red eyes. if I go near it with my algae scraper it retracts back into the rock but comes back out within minutes. I have looked at every worm picture and hitch hiker pic I can find and havn't seen anything similiar, although its cool looking I am a bit worried it could be harmful.

Anyone know what it is???

Ive seen lots of worms but none that are clear with big red eyes.

Try looking at him at night with a red flashlight......most worms come out more at night and the red flashlight wont spook them as much. Then turn the red light off and take a pic (with flash)where you think he is. Might work...m ight not. We are gonna need a pic to find out what this one is.

Hmmm, the funny thing is that it hangs out of the rock all day long. I iwll do my best to get a pic. I really shouldn't say the eyes are big but in comparison to the size of the creature they are big.

Ok this is a terrible pic from my cell phone but for some reason it shows up better than it does on my camera. Its circled and if you look close you can the the red (eyes) like its looking at the phone.

have no idea.

the good news is that sedentary worms are generally safe. actually most worms are fine, so i would not be worried about it. although it is nice to be able to identify stuff.

much better pix are needed for us to make anything more than a random guess on these, could you describe what you think might be an issue with the second photo?

Sorry again for the crappy pics. The worm or whatever it is appears to be dead hanging out of the rock now
