what worm is this??


found it today when reorganizing.. was about 1" and looked like a cocoon but once I pulled it out it elongated - just wondering if anyone knows what kind of worm it is

Peanut worm? They usually rest in a short fat shape but can extend like the ones in your pics.

agreed. very cool...you dont get to see them like that very often.

hes harmless and it is pretty cool to see how far they stretch out at night if you look with a red flashlight so it doesnt spook them. that looks like a pretty good sized one. Im willing to bet he could stretch out a couple of feet believe it or not

put him back if he is still alive

I did put him back in - he is kinda gross to me and I hope I never see him get to a couple feet!!
