the first two photo's are of some kind of anenome that came with the zoa's, the other zoa rock is getting a hard red stuff on it like coraline algae but red. I scratched it w/my finger nail and it is hard not velvety. Not sure if this is a bad kind of anenome or algae? please help.

The first two are majanos. You don't want them.

The guess on the last pic is red coralline algae.

was afraid the majanos were bad when they started to spread and grow, the reg algae, i've never seen coralline that color in my tank, but maybe due to better health of my tank now. I"ve always seen the purple at the LFS.

any suggestions on killing the majanos?

Thankfully I have never had them. Hot kalk or Joe's Juice injection seems to work well for some. I would suggest a search on majanos...many of the threads here talk about how to beat them.

Good luck!
