What is this?

Could someone please me me ID this guy? He only comes out at night and always appears in the same place under some live rock.

Is this a pest or something I should be happy with?

Hi Brad,

Thats the feeding probosis of a "peanut" worm, a harmless scavenger of detritus/left over food.
