What are these tiny things?

I am fairly new to sw. My tanks has been running for nearly 9 months. Recently, I noticed hundreds, if not thousands of something attached to the glass. At first i just thought the glass was slightly clouded with silt. When I got real close I could clearly see these things. They are so tiny I can't get a picture. The look like teeny tiny translucent sesame seeds attched to the glass on an equally teeny tiny stalk. They flutter in the current. They wipe off easily. I tried to use a small syringe to suck on up to look at it under the microscope but I can't seem to get one. The come off the glass so easily and get swept away. They are so tiny the fish don't seem to even know they are there... with the exception of our newly introduced Mandarin Goby. He does seem to eat them. They don't move around. Not copepods. Any ideas?

I'm inclined to agree with bigtex, probably snail eggs. What types of snails (or other inverts) do you keep in the tank?

You know what I actually came to this forum to ask the exact same question. I have maybe thousands of these little guys stuck to the glass. To me they look like a single celled organism with a flagellum (obviously they aren't since I can see them but they have same physical characteristics.) I have noticed some baby snails starting to creep on the glass as well so I guess it's possible that they are snail eggs. I'll try to get a pic and see if it comes out but like he said they are so small that a camera can't pick them up.

If not snail eggs than what? And Should I worry?

Other invert eggs? Would need a picture to give any type of credible advice, though.
