What about Urchins

While looking for more hitchhikers on my live rock I found what looks to be an Urchin. Small about the size of a dime and little black spikes all over it. Are the bad for the tank?

Actually, not an issue for the coraline, as they will graze the rock for algae 9leaving bare rock) where coralline can then grow.

They ingest coraline and expel tiny spores of coraline that will settle all over the tank helping to spread it around quicker as well.

The black short spine urchin is a common liverock hitchiker.
