Wet/ Dry ID help please

In my wet/dry system, underneath the bioballs, I have found what look like a colony of "tadpoles". There are also what look like to be pods growing as well. I am guessing that is what the "tadpoles" are coming out of. Anyone know what theses are? Thanks in advance for the help

the "tadpoles" are probably some type of pod, or mysis shrimp. the "pods" are probably Scypha sponge AKA pineapple sponges. the two have nothing to do with each other. take a look here and see if you see what you have. http://www.melevsreef.com/id/

Yes these are exactly what they are, the Mysis shrimp. Can I assume that even though I have a good number of them in the wet dry that they are also in the tank? Also the pods are the Pineapple sponges. I am guessing this is the sign of a healthy tank.

It is indeed a sign of a healthy tank.

And absent any (very) efficient predators, they should be in the main tank, too.

mysis shrimp are a good sign you have a very healthy tank. take a look at night in your tank. they will be all in the little spots in the rock. you will see the little red dots from their eyes.
