Weird Looking Creature Hitchhiker


I Never Seen Nothing Like This Be4 Ever In This Hobby..it Kinda Moved Fast In And Out Of The Rock Work.it Was When Lights Were Off.. I Shinned A Flashlight On It And It Disapeared In To A Rock Hole..it Looked Like S Slug Material.it Was About The Size Of A Quarter..its Got Kinda A Wierd Marking On The Center Of The Back.it Loooks Like Sword Shape In The Middle Of The Creature With Weird Membrains Through Out The Body..id It Good? Bad?

Looks like the flatworm I found on the bottom of my plate coral just a week or so ago. Here's a lousy pic of mine.

I can't be sure from the image but it looks like one of the snail-eating flatworms. Do you have snails and have they been disappearing? This animal would be the reason. You'll have to sacrifice a snail to bait it out or otherwise get it out of the rock.

Looks like a polyclad flatworm to me. I have found two that were over 4 inches and they were munching on snails.

If you can pull the rock out you saw it go into, and want to see something really, really cool.........use a powerhead to blow it out without harming it......and then put it in a bowl of tank water and swirl the water. I promise you wont regret the effort.

Of course Im weird....and want to be Leslies assistant when i grow up.

cool!!!!!!!! i cant remove the rock i saw it go in cause it will cause my whole rock work to collapse.. ..ill try and catch it when i see it out again when lights go off
