weird lil hitchhiker

i have a 55 gallon hex reef tank that i am starting and i have what appers to be a star fish of some sorts it is about a half inch and it has a black center with tan and black legs and i was wanting to know if any one had any id for this lil bugger and weather he is good for my tank or weather i should try to get rid of them cause i have like 4 or 5

Could just be a small brittle star, I've got quite a few. They never get too much larger than that size in my experience unless something is eating them before they mature. Do you have a pic?
