URGENT ! Shrimp-Crab like thingy Eating my Dendro !


There is a small creature..no color..you can see right thru him..he ONLY comes out at night & dashes for cover INSIDE the coral when light hits him..he has a peppermint shrimps Body,legs,eyes,but has a crabs pinchers & he is destroying the polyps of my carnation...literally ripping them to shreds !! he ONLY stays on the dendro.what is this thing & what do i do !?!?

ive tried to pick him off the coral & use HIGH current to blow him off the coral he wont budge..i put the coral in a container & poked & shoved that little creature for 5 hours he wont leav the coral..he just tried to pinch the tool i was using...........

You could try and drop a rubberband down in the and try to get him to go onto that. Then pull him out. Might be touch and go but it is worth a shot.

what if you touch it with iodine or rubbing alcohol?

i could damage the dendro...the coral has arms that are coming out & down creating an umbrella like place..when he sees light or a threat he dashes for cover inside the arms...my tang has even tried to eat him..hes REALLY fast, like i said i tried for 5 hours last night to kill him i even tried to scrape him off the coral...just damaged to coral not him, im at a loss..he wont come out at day & has no temptation to food so i cant fish him away..he wont even leave that dendro

i would atleast like to know exactly what is killing my coral..ive tried so hard to keep it alive, now its being eaten alive

ok, if he never leaves the coral then pull the coral out and scrape him off the spot he is on. if he hold on you may need to cut some of the coral away but at least you will get him.

you can also do a dip with interceptor and that will kill him fast. same treatment for red bugs on sps
