Unkown Crab and Anenome?
hey guy im new to the forum and the marine fish keeping world!! 
ive recently set up my 100gallon marine tank, i added some live rock and ocean rock yesterday and spotted a couple of wierd looking things, does any one know what they are or how i could find out??

thanks for the quick reply i thought the ugly thing was aiptasia shall sort it soon as, the crab came in a piece of rock only came out at night, the substrate is live sand mixed with some kind of coral sand type stuff they sold me at the fish shop but the live sand has sunk to the bottom.....

i caught the crab in a glass, but i couldnt find any website that could id it 100% so i put it back in because i felt bad keeping it in a glass, ive just been looking in the tank tonight after lights out and found ANOTHER exactly the same so i now hair a pair of random crabs and one had a small snail in its claw..... dont no were the snail came from, any advice??

Not sure on the crab but to be safe I would remove and release back into the ocean or just toss. Crabs can be bad news.

why not put them in the sump?? wouldnt they help keep it alil clean in there?
i hate having to just kill hitchhikers.......they all have a purpose...thou some may not be to our likings...........

Great...at least he went to someone that could put them to use  Crabs in general are iffy, and are opportunistic in nature. I personally won't keep any of them in my tank unless they are going in the sump

ive been hearing a clicking lately but cant see anything sounds like glass cracking? any ideas?

Sounds like a mantis shrimp to me... Id check out the "Mantis Shrimp" forum here on TRT. Youll find most of the information you need on that forum. If you've got fish/inverts that youd like to keep alive id look into it very soon (of course this depends if it is a mantis, and how big it is). But clicking=mantis IMO, especially if youve recently added LR.
