Unknown Urchin Hitchhiker. Need ID please

Hey All,

here is a pic of an urchin that showed up in my nano about 6 months ago. It was absolutely tiny. Now it's body alone is over 2 inches so I transferred it into my FOWLR 125g setup. I would love to have an ID and any info on the species you might be able to offer.

Thanks

I agree with pencil urchin...should get about 3" body with about 1-2" blunt spines. They eat algae, esp coralline, but are useful and cool to boot.

Great thanks. I thought pencil too but the spines were so close together I had initially ruled it out.

Thanks for the help
