Treatink Ich with Coppersafe

I've been treating a sailfin tang and a hippo tang in a quarantine tank with coppersafe for maybe about 2.5 weeks (I'm not positive about the day I started treatment)... I do not plan on putting them back in the tank that I took them out of, but into a more recently cycled 72 gallon. Since they are going into a different tank, how long should it take for the coppersafe to kill the ich on the two fish that are being treated?

I'm hoping that I don't have to wait 28 days, because I am not, currently, putting them back into the tank that they came out of (I'm not letting the original tank go fishless, and therefore not waiting for the ich to die on its own in a fishless tank).

Have any info?

ps. the sooner I have to quit doing these frequent quarantine/ hospital tank water changes, the better

Well after the final sign of ich on the fish, the quarantine period starts in a perfect world. So if you didn't see signs today and ran carbon and did a waterchange, you would wait four weeks. But like I said that is in a perfect world. At this point you should observe the fish closely and try to make things as low-stress as possible.
