Treating ich with coppersafe

I've been treating a hippo tang and a sailfin tang with coppersafe for what I estimate to be about 3 weeks. It still seems there are white spots on the sailfin tang, and I would not be surprised to still see white spots on the hippo tang as well. Should these not have gone away already? could there be something I am doing wrong?

coppersafe is still copper. make sure you keep that in mind. everything involved in that tank must now be used only with copper tolerant animals.

what reading do you get when you test for your copper level. if the stress your fish are going through is too high than copper will not help.
