snails on new corals
Can anyone ID this hitchhiker snail? We bought some new corals and they came with it. Are they reef safe?
Thanks,
Ware and Kristy

From what I can see, they look like Stomatella snails.

I agree, stomatella. They are good. You probably won't see them unless you catch them when lights first come on. They are surprisingly quick for a snail too!

I also agree,.. I have a bunch of Stomatella snails in my tank,.. There great because they eat algae and I didn't have to pay for them

Glad to hear the good news. I haven't seen them since I put the new corals in the tank. They are probably hiding. They certainly are fast little guys.
