Shrimp Critter ID???
I saw this being blown around in the water column at first. Then it got sucked up against a powerhead where I managed to fish it out with a net.
It looks like some kind of shrimp. It's very pale, almost white. Approx. 3/4" to 1" long. I could not see large pinchers only very tiny ones.
Any ideas anyone??

Sorry, JY, it's definitely not an isopod. I'm really surprised to see it in a tank as it's a thalanassid shrimp. There are the mud-shrimp or ghost-shrimp normally found on mud and sand flats. They eat detritus, seaweeds, and small inverts.

Do you think she already killed it?

I looked at alot of isopod pictures and it didn't represent any of them. Definitely looks more like a shrimp.
I dumped it in the fuge part of the sump on another tank where I'd be able to dig it out again if bad (if it even survived).

Thanks Leslie.
It might have somehow come in on a coral I added yesterday (even though I looked it over and didn't see anything). At least that's the only explanation I have for never seeing it before. I know the LFS sometimes feeds some of their livestock ghost shrimp. Maybe it was a survivor hiding out. LOL
