Odd little snail ID

So I was just sitting checking things out in my tank. And I saw something that wasn't there 5 minutes ago, and it was something I SWORE I saw before. I went to get my camera and when I got back...it moved. So I tried to get it out of the tank to see what it was.

I also saw it "poop" out of the top of its shell. Looked like a little poof of smoke.

This little guy is about 8mm long probably about 5 or 6mm high. I watched closely and notice it has two antannae and when I put it in a container I looked from the bottom up and noticed it looked like a snail....single 'foot' and the 'mouth' and antannae. basically looked like an astrea snail. Which leads me to believe it may be a baby astrea? not sure. Help me out!

Thanks everyone. Although this is my first post, I haven't had to post in the past because all my questions are already answered! (except this one!)

Oh yeah....I'll keep him in a little quarantine tank until I know if he's reef safe. Even Though my tank is new.

I did a search on the limpet thing and came across this.

http://www.xtalworld.com/Aquarium/hitchfaq.htm
I found this in another thread.

And according to what I found here, I'm very sure that that is what that little guy is.

I also found a LOT of other things that I have growing in my tank. Thanks dobejazz for the quick response!

I've had those. They can be good cleaners, but I'd keep an eye on it cause there are different kinds

yeah, since the time I first posted this they went from about 1/4 inch to about 9/16 inch. They grew pretty quick. They're harmless I have found.

Harmless in your tank perhaps, but what if it gets out and goes after you??
