Noob needing ID

I found this on my water deflector about a month ago.
This is the clearest picture I could get. It's a translucent white tube with what looks like a fin at the end. It's only on the water deflector and grows pretty fast. Does anyone know what it is?

I agree with Kelli, harmless little filter feeders, They like darker areas like overflows and sumps.
