Mojano Anemone

I found a couple of these bad boys last night. I was in the middle of a water change and aquascaping. I pulled the rock out and took a steak knife to a some of them. I think I got most of them, but I saw two today trying to make a comback. What can I do to eraticate them, permanently?

First off, do not use the steak knife as aptasia (and i am guessing majano) at least will actually spread if you do this. Usually, injection of some type of harmful substance into the mouth of the anemone is the preferred method of manual removal. For this I would recommend Joe's Juice (look for it online or at LFS) just don't use too much and try not to get it on coral. In my experience if you follow the instructions and turn off your water circulation this is no big deal. Also, a turkey baster is useful for removing any excess (just clean it well if you use it for target feeding).

I use kalk paste made with Mrs. Wage's Pickling lime to cover anemones and melt them away

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

I use vinegar.. use a pipette and blast the suckers right in the mouth. Don't do this to more than a couple a day though
