Millapeed


I just found a worm that can move very quick looks just llike a millapeed and it not a bristle worm. Any idias?

The picture attached is a bristle worm from what I understand.
The worm I saw is brown segmentet and long (1 inch) just like a millipeed. I faild to see any "feet" like a bristle worm. It was out only for a few seconds then it got hit by a white worm and it took off into the live rock in reverse about 80mph. It body was really thinn and round. I dont know if ill be able to get a pic its the first one ive seen!

what you are describing sounds like it could be a polynoid worm AKA commonly as scale worms

The picture you linked to (one of mine, by the way) is an uncommon sort of polynoid scaleworm because the scales (pairs of overlapping flaps of skin on the back) are either extremely small or absent. On other polynoids they're obvious. Take a look at the hesionids on this page, particularly Leocrates sp 1 - they're common in tanks & fit your description better. The big hesionids come in red, pink, orange, brown, and striped color patterns.

No. They eat things smaller than themselves. some are detritus feeders.
