Question

live rock worm bug id help please


i bought some live rock and i am curing it i see some small worms or bugs that are on top of the water. what the heck are they there about 3/8's to 1/4 long and white. this is the best pic i can get please some help me.

I could be WAY off but that almost looks like a maggot. Rock being shipped can get a little nasty sometimes

thats what i thought but it looks smaller it is kind of a elongated tear drop shap. i guess as lond as they die off during curing i should be ok dont you think.

Even if they dont, there are very few worms we come across that are harmful to our reefs and if that is indeed a reef worm of some kind, chances are its harmless............we are fairly aware of the bad ones and that doesnt look like anything you should worry about to me.......
