Jellyfish type thing

My wife has found three 2 millimeter mini Jellyfish type creatures in our 120 gallon reef. They are too small for the camera to focus on them. The swim by pulsating their hood and have all charecteristics of a mini jellyfish.

HAS ANYONE EVER HAD THEM and what will they eat first; the fish or the corals????

Run do not walk to your nearest LFS and buy some jelly-b-gone before they eat everything in the tank!!! J/k. Considering how small they are... don't worry about them. They're only going to be eating things smaller than them... like 1mm pods or lil scraps in the water column. More tha likely they'll just get sucked up by the overflow and die a slow death. Honestly, I think its kinda cool :P. Also... I believe that many coral have a "jelly fish" like juvenile stage before they settle down... These could just be the babies of your coral...

Actually, I think they got lost in the tank move. The tank was moved 25 miles on Saturday. Have not seen them yet. My guess was hydroids when cjc described them to me. If they reappear I'll try to get some pics.

I think hydroids is a good guess. I see them every once in a while in my tanks and then they're gone for a good long time.

Saw 1 today and was able to suck it up with a turkey baster and into a cup, but definitely too small for our camera to focus on. I watched it swim with a magnifying glass and it definitely "pulsates" to move like a jellyfish.

they really are a small jelly, there are a few other threadas about them too, they usally come in on a newer piece of Rock or coral that has a LR base.
they can multiply pretty fast but usally dont live very long .
