Question

Is this possible? Aiptasia?

I noticed what looks to be Aiptasia emerging between the crevice of a rock. I haven't added anything new to the tank in over 2 months. What's more puzzling is that the rock it's seems to be growing from, I got over 6 months ago and no where near any of the newer stuff. Is it normal for aiptasia to lie dormant for so long?

They can be very small at times and move around a lot. I would try to get some http://joesjuice.com/ to kill it.

I plan on killing it but right now it's in a awkward spot to get to. I going to have to wait until it gets a little bit bigger or until it moves out of it's little cranny.

I didn't realize it could be months after adding anything that these pests could emerge.

thanks for the info.
