Is it a star fish?

Asked about this the other day. But I don't think I gave a good picture. Found a picture in an old thread that had some of what I got in it. Is it a star fish? I am talking about the white with black stripes coming out of the rock.Attachment 37574

Look like small brittle stars to me as well. Good find. Lots of places sell them, but yours were free with the rock congrats.

Actually, I bought a mushroom rock once just for those silly stars.

are there holes in the rock where they're coming from, If, so look straight down at them, is there a disk with maouth in the center, and do they retract when touched, They look a lot like a rock anemone to me, I have one, have had it almost three years mow, it's harmless if that's what it is,
