id please

Hello all,
I have seen these at night and I have posted a pic but will try to describe them for you as best as I can since they are a quite reactive to light and retract almost as soon as it comes on. The tenticle (for lack of a better word) looks almost like the little snorkle thing on a narcissus snail although I don't think thats what it is. The "snorkle" appears to be almost translucent in color and has what looks like a mouth on the end (partly obscured in the pic by algae on the glass sorry), and I have seen it grab food or particles off the LR with it. I have seen as many as 3 "snorkles" at a time coming out of 1 piece of LR and they don't seem to be bothering anythng but I am adding coral as often as possible and I don't want anything eaten by an unknown assailant so I am hoping that someone can tell me what it is and if it is harmfull at all. Thank you for your input.

Really? The peanut worms that I have seen before are darker in color. I had no idea that there were different types. Peanut worms are ok right? They won't hurt anything? Thanks for the help.
