Is it hard shelled under the "tentacles" and any flesh?? If so i dont think its a anemone. Its a coral. I forget what it is called though.

Where should I be looking? I see what looks like a barnicle but nothing resembling an anemone.
go down this page and see barnicle.

First of all I would NEVER put anything I pick up off the beach in my tanks! Lord knows what disease it carries into your tank and could kill everything you value. Not even counting the fact that you could go to jail for taking a live animal from the ocean without a license.

Back to your question, I don't think anyone is going to be able to answer your question since this is not a species that is collected for the hobby.

I would let it be as long as it remains on the shell. have you seen any interaction between the crab and the anenome. there are multiple crabs that actually have a symbiotic relationship with anenomes that they keep on their shell. I would leave him be and see what happens. if the crab abandons the shell and anenome then let us know.
