I know about majanos(sp) & Aptasia...

I got a big colony of Zoas and there were 2 of these on the branch...a week later they were no longer on the branch but on a totally different rock. One of them split/grew another polyp. Are these a form of an anemone?

It is purple with green skirts. Within the purple it looks like fairy dust(white spots).

It may be a zoanthid, but it will be necessary to get another pic to give any decent ID. Growth rates of anything in the tank are varied on quite a few factors, so it's very hard to say.

I don't think they are zoas, they move from spot to spot. I never see any actual movements but I'll see one on a rock then it's gone and reappear on a different rock.
