I found a Fat tarantula like crab!
I have a 24 gallon nano with a few fish, a cleaner shrimp and soft corals. Tonight when I fed, this monster came out! He is about the size of a silver dollar, very shy, dark in color, and looks like a cross between a fat tarantula and a toad! Definately a crab, haven't lost any fish or anything else. I am thinking a gorilla crab and do I definately have to get rid of him and if so how? He scares me!

You can try using a drinking glass with bait leaning against the rock with the hopes he will go in after food and not be able to crawl back up

Crabs are opportunistic he may be ok but maybe not most people don't trust crabs in their reef

gorilla or decorator. don't kill it. put it in your sump or take it to the lfs.
