I.D on this please(i think it may be a cucumber?


it came from a piece of live rock im sure..its brown with spikes all over its body..i saw it a few months ago in my tank when it was about 4 inchs long and havent seen it in months till last night.. it was huge!!!! at least 15 inch;s long.. how big do these things get?.. i have pics ill add to this thread once my battries charge up to my digi

as long as he's healthy he's safe. Cukes are in genral are the suicide bombers of the reef tank. If startled they may expel their innards into the water. In the wild they often grow them back, but rarely survive this in captivity. If you see him do this pull him out and run carbon. I think that one that has thrived this long and gotten so large is not likely to get freaked out very easily.

wow.......that thing id HUGE............i agree if he has lived this long then he shouldnt startle any and put your tank at risk.......but i would keep an eye out just in case........

Keep an eye on him, you may end up with 2 before long. When mine reached that size it split itself in half and I now have a cuke in each tank. I was worried when I first found the two separate pieces but after doing some online research I found out that this is a normal occurence. Both cukes are doing well and I think one may be getting big enough to split again. Cuke frags anyone?
