they eat stuff in the sand & wasted food i think, mine usually die when i clean the sand bed & change filter pads. but the populate fast, at least in my experiance

well..mine came in on LR, but some LFS sell them sometimes. i never really seen them sell much at all. ask some fellow reefers if there tanks have any.then they could try to catch some for ya

just buy a bunch of macroalgae (caulerpa or similar from www.ipsf.com ) there will be TONS of them in it. You can either rinse the algae out in the tnk or keep it in yoursump/refugium. They will blow into the tank as feed for the fishes and corals, just make sure to harvest the macro on a regular basis, and remember that thery can act at times as imports for nitrogen and phosphorus (but in a healthy way for many systems), but they're still an import for nutrients.
