Green tube things and worms!!!!!!??????
I just realized on one of my rocks, that there are green tube like things. They are kind of see through and they're about a centimeter long. theres probably like 10-15 all bunched together in one spot. Does anyone know what they are????
I also have seen a small worm squirming around. Its Probaly like a quater of an inch long and is really skinny. Blackish grey colored. I dont think its a Bristle Worm Because it doesnt really look like any other pics ive seen, Does anyone know what that is???? And is there anything I can buy that will eat worm????Thx

The green tube things is prolly valonia. The worm is hard to say...maybe a peanut worm?
Don't be too concerned about the assorted worms in your tank...most are scavengers, so they aren't worth worrying about.

Keep siphoning...it is prolly the easiest way at this point! Some will suggest an emerald crab, but I believe they are hit or miss. Taking away its nutrients is also a good idea (for this and many types of algaes), but this is a longer term solution.
One thing about valonia is that you never want to "pop" it in your tank, because doing that will (potentially) allow it to spread all over your tank. And that's bad.

Water changes, light feeding, carbon...all of these can help get the nutrients out of the water.
Are you doing regular water changes? If yes, are you using RO water?

That might be a problem. The water change water you are putting in the tank could be full of things you don't want in the tank. Winning the battle against any algae becomes extremely difficult at that point.

See if you can take the rock out and gingerly remove the pieces of bubble algae without breaking them.

I always thought they came off pretty easily. My concern is that if they "pop", their "seeds" will go everywhere. Rinsing the rock off might take care of that, though.
