If its got a snout...get it out.

This isnt always true, but generally speaking, snails that you didnt intentionally add that show up with a snout are many times predatory whelks of one kind or other, they dont use that snout to make friends

LeslieH or greenbean will have a better answer for ya.......but generally speaking that is what ive found in my tanks with hitchhiking snails.

The common nassarius have a snout also, but they are ok.

As FlyGuy said, the snout is a sign of a whelk, so he's a meat eater.

Any snails disappearing? For that matter, anything gone?
