Crab - Good, Bad or just plain Ugly!!

Hope you guys can help me

Got the shock of my life when I saw this little monster lurking inside my rock. Managed to get him out and put him in a little holding tank, but hoping you guys can ID him and let me know if he's the bad guy I think he is.
Apologies for the poor quality of the photo but I took it on my phone...

He's got REALLY hairy legs, black body and arms, quite small but pointed pincers - does this help?
Would try to get another picture, but he's well and truly hidden himself in the rock in the other tank...

It's most likely a common hitchiker known as the stone crab. They are opportunistic feeders that will eat snails and stomatella.

drop him in your sump. if his claws are pointed then he will eat his tank mates. if they come together on flat pads then he is an emerald
