Hello everyone, I am fairly new to reef tanks and have had my tank up and running now for over 3 months or so..... I just picked up a large sized devils finger leather.....about 7-8 inches across. I noticed some little tiny guys running around on him that looked like little clear centipedes and was like ****!! I have no clue if they are bad or not....but now i've noticed a
worm that is about 3 inches long that is clear and very thin and has feet running the length of its entire body. He hangs out on the devils finger which is currently shedding. There is one small spot on the finger coral...a little smaller than a dime that has no skin on it...its pretty much open.....idk if it rubbed on a rock a little bit and it broke the skin or what.....can i cut that part off?? Should I leave it there?? Anyway....the worm likes to eat at the open part and I can see the coral traveling down his fricken body!! Makes me mad......does anyone know if he is just helping the coral shed and helping it heal???? Or do you think he is bad....i tried to catch him....hahahahahha....wayyyyyyyyy too fast....I saw him shoot away like lightning!! The spot that he eats at is white colored and the rest of the coral is purlplish pink.....The coral is turning more and more purple as the skin sheds off....
