My royal gramma keeps eating all of my pep shrimps before they can get to the aiptasia. Make sure you don't have a fish that's gonna eat the shrimp too.

Two clowns
One Spoted Goby
One Fairy Wrasse

That is all I don't think these guys will eat anything that fights back even a little.

I get up at three to go to work so I will check then.

Going to do an aptasia head count tonight and see if thier numbers start droping.

We had this problem and to solve it got a pair of pepermint shrimp and klines butterfly who ate it. They all were bought to do that job however I think the Klines did a better job. There is also something the local stire told us about that you inject into the mouths of the aptasia but we decided against that. Lastly I found out the hard way that when we treated my tank for ich that the medication "Copper" killed it off as well. Hope this helps and best of luck

Try aiptasia x by red sea. http://redseafish.com/Prod296.asp

I have tried everything ( peppermint shrimp, copperband butterfly, Joe's juice and kalk paste)and this really works. Have to see video in the link I sent. Each bottle should kill about 100. It is amazing.... That fish place had the best price....

It was suggested I try that stuff in our old 24gal when we had this out break. We first tried the Klines butterfly and peppermint shrimp though. The only one who did anything really IMO was the fish. I should have just went with the treatment instead and saved the room for another fish I would have rather had!

Break the rock off that has the aptasia on it, ship it to my house They make super duper nutrient exporters as long as you keep them isolated from the display.

I used lemon juice and injected into the base of the aptasia. Every couple of days I would inject a bunch. It worked very well, but it's probably slower than the shrimp and certainly more work.

Aiptasia X

I use this stuff as well and it is a God send. It's fast and totally reef safe. I high recommend it.

I have 2 aiptasia in my tank, so I got a few peppermints.

The aiptasia are still there, but the peppermints are nice and fat eating the food I throw in the tank.
