Anyone know what this might be?

Its hard to explain this thing and hard to get a shot of it because it wont stay still - its basically a 1 inch white thin maggot looking thing with a black stripe down it that swims around like an eel (not that I know what they swim like but it squirms like a snake under water - I assume thats how eels move). I thought it may be bad so i put it in its own container

Anyone know what it may be?

And more so should i discard it?

Huh...I dunno off hand. At first glance, it doesn't look like it has any parts that would be harmful to fish, but hrm...I guess I would wait until someone can ID it.

Looks like a simple polychaete swarmer. Nothing to worry about.
