ummm... that sounds.... BRILLIANT! I dont have another tank but i have tons of 50 gallon rubbermaid storage bins. Then I can treat using copper or hyposalinity and get rid of this crud all together.

What do I treat the LR and LS with? OR without fish will the virus simply die off, over a period of time? Also, should I add something to the tank for the fish to hide in, since I heard stress is a big factor in this stuff, no hidding places seems like trouble.

After treating with copper I would want to clean the tank with vinegar. If you have no inverts and never plan to it would not be an issue. If it is Amyloodinium hyposalinity is not a real great treatment from what I have read.

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

This is probably a stupid question (see my quote on stupid questions below) but if the fish are in the tank Im treating with copper... ANd you say clean the tank with vinegar. Do i just apply vinegar to a rag and wipe down the tank while full of water? Or take fish out of the tank, completely drain and then clean the entire tank, skimmer and everything else?

A tank would need to be drained to be cleaned with vinegar. Whethor you clean it or not you are looking at doing a 100% w/c after the treatement is done to try to remove copper ANother option though would be getting a copper absorbing media like cuprasorbb. I have not tried it so I could not say how effective it is.

ended up doing the exact oposite. I took the fish and powerhead out and left the rock and sand in the display. Treating the fish with copper in a rubbermaid tub and leaving the display tank for a month or so with nothing in it. Hopefully this will rid my tank of whatever. Im thinking that it is Amyloodinium and not ich. I have been using Garlic Extreme for a few days prior going this route, and saw a few small improvements but ultimately the fish were still not right.

Anybody know much about Cupramine? Thats the copper route I went and since I a NOOB in all this, all advice is appreciated! Thanks.
