Ive never seen a black stomatella but it surely looks exactl;y like one. The second one no idea, i agree with you its not a bristleworm. Even when my 2 footer got cut up into little pieces by a mag 36 he didnt look like that, although he was kind of the same dimensions many times over........lol

the first on is a stomatella snail. good guy to have, good algae eater.
the second looks like some type of nudibranch. most have very specific diets and are often short lived in the aquaria.

Thanks Paintbug I always assumed it was a stomatella but a couple people told me they had never heard of a black one so I got concerned I do have tons of white ones also most of the white ones are smaller than this guy.
On the nudi I had a small dark purple leather I bought it a couple weeks ago in that little hole where the nudi seems to be living a few days ago the leather got knocked over and then disapeared. Are there leather eating nudi's?

theres many soft coral eating nudi's, but im not the one to ID them. in general most nudi's are not reef safe. some are but most are not.

Sounds like the culprit in the new leathers demise, i would try to slurp it up with a baster or something and get rid of it
