Vis-therm Heater 250W

Hello, somebody know , how do i know if my heater work's, because no has any light , any way to check if work, since set-up my 95 gal. fishtank, the termomether keep in 75 F. It is safe touch the heater to see if hot ?. Thank you.

It should not get hot enough to burn you with a brief touch. Do not take it out of the water or it could crack.

That's one thing I never liked about the stealth heaters. No light. Of course I ended up buying the Visi-Therm Deluxe heaters and never look for the light anyway.

Not true! my Won analog has a light.

OP is talking about the Visi-therm Stealth heaters that do not have an indicator light. They are encased in plastic and are unbreakable which is great, but the only way to know if it is working is to keep an eye on the temp. Typically the lack of light wouldn't be an issue unless you are using the two heater method. In that case, you wouldn't know if one of the heaters has malfunctioned.

I know he was saying but trhis is what you said.If you want tomake it safer,hook it up to a controller.
