Titanium heater help
i have 2 questions for you guys.... the first one being is it a bad idea to purchase a wavemaking device for my T3 pump on my closed loop?
my 2nd question is dealing with the titanium heaters....
if i buy one of these heaters....
http://www.marinedepot.com/aquarium_...ium.asp?CartId=
will i need to buy a controller like this?? i have heard the controllers are one of the best things you can buy for a reef tank.
http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Produc...&N=2004+113767
or does the that titanium heater already have a controller on it? or am i just in left field here, and getting things mixed up here?

Those heaters are sweet. I use 3 of them. They are as reliable as any i have used, and more reliable than most.
although they burn up and singe your carpet if you pull it out and set it down without unplugging it(i guess i lied..as of yesterday i only have two of them now)
As far as the controller goes, save your money and buy a chiller for $180 more with the controller built in.

tankS you mean.....
thats pushing it man, i am seriously contemplating trying it on my 225 w 100 sump......
i need to get one but i have been searching for 3 weeks for a good deal on a 1/4 horse or so less than ayear old, but havent closed the deal on any.........a few have been sold just minutes before i get to them on RC.........
I think if your high temps without one were 83 degress......i think it would work 3-90's......any more than that im not sure it would, as well as that just might be too taxing on the unit and it might shorten its lifespan signifigantly..........

Well, actually, my high temps are just about 1 degree over where I feel comfortable.
