RO tds meter working???

I finally got my tds meter in today it dosent say what the reading should be....When the water comes out the tds meter reads 46 ppm....is this about right????I havent hooked the incoming line up yet its copper and I have to cut it or put a plastic line after the meter.....what do youall think????

that is prolly about right for a RO only unit. if you add the DI part than it should drop to 0. have you tested the water going into RO unit? that should also give you a good indicator for how well it is working.

over time your RO should drop below 20, but it is unussual to get a RO only unit to 0.
