Plumbing question

I made an overhead manifold with 3/4 Sch 40 that hangs behind the lip of the tank. My question is should I use a pressure pump instead of a circulating pump?

I changed my original plan with the intent of not having bulkheads. (or ideally possibly one) I will be using a 1" 1100 gpm return pump that will give me around 700 gpm factoring in the head. It is not a pressure pump and I am not sure if I should get the pressure model.

The 3/4 sch 40 I used will restrict me to 600 gpm, but I still might put in a gate valve to slow it down if it is too much.

On the back center I will be using a 180 degree mini rotating sprinkler head that gives me 120 gph. I will try and use this one to keep debris off the sand without stirring up the sand. On the front left and right I have a tee and 90 in the front corners that I left open and unglued to adjust.

Does this sound ok?

Yes if you can a pressure rated pump would be the way to go with a manifold.

Thanks, yeah I was impatient with the 20 post wait.

I was not sure about the pressure pump. I was looking at an iwaki 40rlxt circulating pump vs the 40rlt. The 40rlxt circulates a lot more water than the pressure and the max operating pressure difference between them is only 4 psi.

Here is a blurry camera pic that I took. I do have a nice camera, (I went to school for photography) but I was lazy last night. The front pipes are not the actual ones I will use. I will probably use a tee and a 90 on each size. I guess it will depend on how I do the rock.

It is nice because you can't see the 3/4 pvc since it is hidden by the rim. The sprinkler head is called an mp rotator. It is supposed to spray about 30 ft. They are mini rotor heads made for spray style sprinklers. (We sell them here at work, so I figured I would see if they worked like this)

Some things to consider if you haven't already.

Anti siphon holes. Is this a closed loop or a sump setup? If a sump/drain setup when the power goes out, the water is going to drain down to the bottom of the pvc pipes. Actually, just to the highest one which will then break the siphon.

Rotating sprinkler heads. Most contain metal springs and other non saltwater resistant parts. Make sure you fully disassemble one to check out any possible problem parts.

It is a closed loop and I have a check after the pump. Its also an all plastic sprinkler head minus the ss adjustment screw. I will see how it goes. I can always take it out.
