I just bought my second acrylic tank. Acrylic is 10 times stronger then glass and 4 times lighter. You you have only one or two seams with acrylic tanks vs silicon corners with glass. Glass also breaks easy if something strikes the side of your tank. Acrylic is also optically clearer then glass. Glass is way harder and does not scratch easy; acrylic scratches easy.
Acrylics as you know by now cost much more then glass. I just bought my 36 gallon tank from Petco.com and it is a bow front tank which is nice to view from varies angles.
I got it on sale for $215 and my total with tax and shipping was $245.
I thought that was a great price since I saw similar tanks for around $400.

Take care and God bless.

I like acrylic. Spend $1000 on live rock alone, then however much on coral and fish then let a rock slip and hit the bottom. Your floors will be dry. Do that with glss and you may be calling about your home owners policy.
